A community is a calculated result

Colours group identities that are frequently credited together. They reveal local structures but do not define official schools or musicological categories.

The layout is calculated from corpus relationships. Screen proximity alone is never enough to claim a similarity of sound.

A bridge connects neighbourhoods

A bridge artist appears between groups or maintains links into several of them. This may reflect a long career, changing line-ups, studio work or movement between labels.

Ask which shared credits make the passage visible, then open the local portrait and verify the records.

Avoid over-interpretation

Centrality depends on corpus scope, available credits and reconstruction rules. A missing link may reflect missing data or a deliberately excluded ambiguity.

The graph turns a visual intuition into a verifiable question: it suggests a path; records and sources let the reader examine it.
