Use the record as an entrance
Search by title, musician, label, genre or style. The record card provides a release year, credited artists and declared styles—enough information to choose a first branch.
The displayed year is a release year, not necessarily a recording date. Keeping that distinction visible prevents a commercial metadata field from becoming a false session chronology.
Choose a credit that moves the listening
The best-known name is not always the best route. A supporting musician, arranger or less visible member can open a completely different set of records.
Open the person’s profile, separate leader appearances from collaborations and choose a record that differs from the starting point by period, label or style.
Keep the reasoning
A good route can be told in one sentence: I started with this record, followed this credited musician and discovered that project. That sentence is more useful than a bare recommendation list.
Screenshots and exports should retain the corpus boundary and snapshot date so that the path remains understandable.
